In October, two 15-year-old boys were charged after a 10-mile police chase that ended with armed officers smashing their way into a car. The chase began in Enfield when police investigating an alleged knifepoint robbery tried to stop a car that instead sped off. In Loughton, the car drove over a police spike strip and hit a number of other cars, before an armed officer smashed the driver’s window of the car.

Beryl Bikes pulled its cycle hire scheme out of Enfield just three months after it began a trial. While council staff were still able to use the bikes, they were no longer available to the public due to a number of issues, including vandalism.

Pop star and former X-factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos was forced to pay £70,832 over claims she trashed her rented apartment in Uplands Park Road, Enfield. The landlord of the property sued the pop star after finding the fridge door ripped off, cigarette burns across the apartment and a smashed bathroom sink.

And Haringey Council announced its plans to invest £5.5million to update its libraries.
