Another man has been charged in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man from Watford.
A 25-year-old man has been charged with assisting an offender by detectives investigating the death of Luke O'Connell.
Mr O'Connell died in hospital following an incident in Gammons Lane just before 3am on Saturday August 31.
- Omar Hamid-Chohan, aged 25 of The Harebreaks, Watford was charged yesterday (Wednesday 16 October) with assisting an offender in relation to the death of Luke O'Connell.
He has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear before St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15 November.
- A 19 year old woman from Watford was last month (September) arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, she was released while enquires continued.
Four other men have also been charged with murder in connection with the investigation.
- Shahnavaz Azad, aged 27, of Nicholas Close, Watford
- Mohammed Haroon Azad, aged 21, of Nicholas Close, Watford,
- Aamir Mustafa, aged 22, of St George’s Road, Watford
- Hamza Shah, aged 19, of Hagden Lane, Watford
They have been charged with murder with a pre-trial hearing on December December at St Albans Crown Court. A provisional trial court date has been set for March 2, 2020 at St Albans Crown Court.
