Ronnie O'Sullivan dodged a shock exit in round one of the 19.com English Open in Crawley after recovering from 2-0 and 3-2 down to beat world number 105 Jamie O'Neill.
Former roofer O'Neill opened up with a 114-break and then claimed the second frame before his five-time world champion opponent scored 90 and 102 to level things up.
O'Neill was 33-0 ahead in the sixth frame when he accidentally brushed a red, allowing the Chigwell star to draw level again and watched as his opponent rattled off 81 in the decider.
