A Premier League footballer is appealing for help after his Range Rover was stolen in Chingford.

Dwight Gayle, who plays as a striker for Newcastle United, put out an appeal on Twitter this week for help finding the missing vehicle - but the luxury car may not be too hard to track down.

That's because it has a personalised number plate - DW16HT G - although it is now possible the number plate has been changed.

Gayle says the wrap may have also been removed and the car may now be its original black colour.

Gayle, from Walthamstow, spent last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, and started his career in the Essex Senior League before securing a move to Dagenham & Redbridge.

The appeal has not been deleted so it looks like Gayle's Range Rover has not been found just yet.
