A man whose careless driving resulted in the death of a motorcyclist has been sentenced.

Oladipo Adeluwoye, 54, of Willingdon Road, N22, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court last Friday (June 21st), after colliding with a motorcycle.

Adeluwoye had been driving to a children’s party - and attempted to turn his car into the Powerleague venue on the A10.

This was when he collided with the motorcycle travelling in the same direction.

The court heard Adeluwoye was driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa on the A10, Great Cambridge Road in Enfield at around 14:00hrs on Saturday, 27 May 2017 when the collision occurred.

The rider of the motorcycle, 24-year-old Reece Green, died at the scene.

The incident was captured on dashcam footage from a car passing in the opposite direction and showed the movements of both vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision.

Adeluwoye had originally been charged with one count of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing death by careless driving.

Following the trial, however, he was disqualified from driving for two years for causing death by careless driving.

He was also sentenced to 12 months imprisonment (suspended for two years) and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
