With warm sunny weather forecast for the whole of Easter weekend, families are being asked to plan ahead if they are visiting Cassiobury Park.
This is because the main car park is currently closed.
With around two million visitors a year, Watford Borough Council is increasing the capacity of the park’s car park from 88 to 214.
The overflow car park (with limited spaces) will be open all weekend, 19 - 22 April.
The council has arranged alternative car parking at Fullerians Rugby Club for the whole weekend. Stewards will be at both sites to assist with any enquires.
Other nearby car parks which can be used are: The Gade in Rosslyn Road (WD17 1PL), The Avenue in Hempstead Road (WD17 4NR), the Town Hall carpark (WD17 3EX) available weekends and bank holidays only (not available Good Friday 19 April).
The council is encouraging people to walk, cycle, or use Watford Met station as a way to get to the park instead.
