Women are invited to find out how they can help the environment at an event being held this summer.

A free event discussing women, health and the environment is being held in South Woodford on June 18.

Soroptimist East London will host the event being organised by East London's Women's Environmental Network.

It will discuss how women can combat climate change and help the environment.

It will also explore why climate change is a gender issue and has a particular impact on women.

Kate Metcalf co-Director of the Women's Environmental Network will be leading the talk.

The event is being held at the Woodford Memorial Hall in South Woodford at 7.15pm.
