The day consisted of meeting and shadowing staff who had previously studied at the college completing tasks from luggage check-in to floor walking.

The students shadowed Issy Harris and Connie Ellis, amongst others, who completed their Extended Diploma in June 2018 began working for Swissport the following month as passenger service agents.

Tourism and aviation lecturer, Simone Butler, said: “We are very proud of our strong links with Swissport and we tailor our courses to meet the demands of the roles that can be found in the aviation industry, so that our students leave the programme equipped with the skills required to make a great start in the industry.”
