A charity which helps people in need furnish their houses has received a much needed funding boost.
Epping Forest ReUse has been awarded £4000 from Tesco's Bags of Help scheme.
Many people who come to Epping based charity have little or nothing to fill their home with, perhaps because they have been rehoused after being in a refuge after domestic violence or have been homeless.
The money will be used to fund free of charge goods for people in such situations and for those with mental health difficulties.
Manager Matt Beckett said: "We know from the thank you letters and emails we receive how much the help we give people is valued.
"This £4000 will help us to help more people in need."
Epping Forest ReUse's showrooms, near Epping station, are open to all, with a discount offered to people on income-related benefits.
The charity faced closure a year ago due to a high rent demand, but its future looks more secure now an agreement has been negotiated.
