Bus company Arriva has announced they will be withdrawing one of its routes.

From Sunday 3 March 2019, the number 9 service between Harlow and Epping will end only running from Harlow to Potter Street every 20 minutes.

Arriva said several routes to its network will be made to make more of their Essex services reliable.

Passengers will still be able to travel the Epping route via either Arriva service 87 or Trusty Bus Service 420.

Craig Taylor, marketing manager for Arriva Herts & Essex, said: “We are constantly reviewing our networks and making changes to try and improve the customer experience.

“We have reviewed our Epping services since Arriva started operating the 87 route in the area and 87 has performed better between Epping and Harlow than the number 9 route.

As a result, we have taken the decision to withdraw service 9 from Epping. We wanted to make our passengers aware of this change and also provide them with information on alternative routes.”

Any Arriva passengers who hold a Harlow and Epping Zone pass will be accepted on service 87 or will be entitled to a part refund if their ticket expires beyond 3 March.
