An elderly woman has been seriously injured in a car crash.

Officers were called at approximately 3.10pm on Friday (11 January) to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian in Totteridge Road.

London Ambulance Service attended and the pedestrian, a 77-year-old woman, was taken to an east London hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the car, a black Kia Sportage, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

There have been no arrests.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Chadwell Heath investigate.
