A 55-year-old woman has died after being hit by a van.

Police were called at around 5:10pm on Thursday to reports of a van colliding with a person on High Street, Hornsey.

Met Police officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The woman was taken to an east London hospital for treatment, but she died there yesterday. Her next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem will happen in due course.

Met Police said the driver stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage.
