A store worker was slashed on the ankle with a knife during an altercation.
Police were called at approximately 6.40am today to a fight inside a Tesco store in Savoy Parade, Enfield.
Two males who entered the store were challenged by security staff about an apparent shoplifting offence.
It is believed one of the men was armed with a knife.
During the ensuing altercation, one member of staff received a slash wound to the ankle.
One of the suspects made off from the scene.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment - his condition is not life threatening.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH; he remains in custody.
