A young girl's magical tale has seen her become a published author.
Tito Adeleye, a year 7 student at Woodford County High School, recently published children’s book 'The First Discovery.'
It tells the story of two young sisters Starshine and Starlight who embark on a magical adventure as they prepare to perform at Starry Stadium.
Only antagonist Queen Cara and her evil plot to destroy the show can stop them.
Tito, 10, spoke about seeing her work in print.
She said: "The moral of the book is you are never too young to do great things.
"It's just unbelievable. I'm still getting my head around the fact that I'm now an author.
"There aren't even words to describe how joyful I feel whenever I see my book in front of me.
" It was a real pleasure when I was told that my book was available for people to buy. I felt and still feel over the moon.
"When I told my friends about my new book, most of them were shocked and didn't believe it at first.
"A few minutes later, they were all congratulating me and telling me how proud they are. It was a great feeling to know that my friends were by me."
Social enterprise Grant a Smile approached book publishers DVG Star to help Tito, from Loughton, fulfil her writing dreams.
Joyce Obaseki, founder of Grant a Smile, said: “The first time I read Tito’s writing, I was blown away by her creativity and originality and when she started to work on her book, I immediately began to look for ways to help Tito achieve her dream of being published.
"A big thanks to DVG Star for helping us help a little girl’s dream come true.
“At Grant a Smile, we love to grant special wishes for special children to help create wonderful and lasting memories.
"And we work with partners, such as DVG Star, to help us make things happen.
"We want a child to see that nothing is impossible. "
Grant a Smile provides practical support to families dealing with severe illnesses and it is currently helping 54 families across the UK.
