Commuters are having problems with queues and build-ups on the M25 due to a broken down lorry.

Traffic

A broken down lorry on the M25 clockwise at J24 near Potters Bar has caused traffic to come to a halt while it was removed.

Queues were backing up on the motorway but since the lorry was taken away traffic has been returning back to normal.

Traffic on the M1 is very slow and heavier than normal on the M1 Southbound at J8 by Breakspear Way.

There is the usual congestion on the North Circular Road Southbound at Western Avenue. Travel time for commuters is four minutes.

There are heavy delays on the A40 Eastbound between Hillingdon Circus / RAF Northolt and A406 Hanger Lane Gyratory.

Travel time for commuters is 21 minutes.

On the North Circular Road Westbound from M1 J1 to Brentfield Road there is very slow traffic.

Weather

Today there is low cloud mist and fog and will clear through the morning to leave a largely bright afternoon, with some prolonged sunny spells for most.

It will be feeling unseasonably warm in the sunshine and light winds, by mid-afternoon.

The maximum temperature today will be around 22C.

Tube

On the Central Line there is no service due to strike action.

London Underground tickets will be accepted on TFL Rail, London Overground, Great Western Railway, Chiltern and bus services via any reasonable route.

On the Jubilee Line there are minor delays between Green Park and Stratford eastbound only, while we fix a faulty train at Stratford.

There is good service on the rest of the line.

On the London Overground line there is no service Barking to Gospel Oak due to a signal system failure.

London Underground are accepting their tickets via any reasonable route. Good service on all other routes.

On the Waterloo and City Line there are severe delays due to a shortage of train operators
