A murder investigation is underway after a man died from stab wounds sustained in a fight.

Police were called at 00.50am this morning with reports of a fight in Wilderton Road, Stamford Hill.

Upon arrival police found two men with stab injuries.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment but later died. He was pronounced dead at 4.30am.

His family have been informed and a formal identification and post-mortem will happen in due course.

The second victim – a 17-year-old male – was also taken to hospital suffering a stab injury. His condition is not believed to be serious.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

There has been no arrest at this early stage.
