A 16-year-old was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the middle of a park.

Police were called at 3.53 pm on Monday, May 7 following reports of a stabbing in Broomfield Park, Palmers Green.

They believe the boy and a friend were approached by two other males before he was attacked.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

“A boy, believed to be aged 16, was found suffering from a stab wound.

“At this early stage, it is believed that the victim and a friend were approached by two other males.

“The victim was then attacked and the suspects fled.”

The boy was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
