Talkies Community Cinema is looking for Friends.
The volunteer-led not for profit organisation is finding it challenging to attract funding from grants and sponsorship.
Subscribing as a ‘Friend of Talkies’ would help the group continue to show films.
Friends’ money will also be used to help commission and support young filmmakers.
Talkies has supported 18 filmmakers over the past four years.
Friends have been extras and runners in these films, so there are various ways people can get involved.
There have also been opportunities to visit BAFTA, Sands Studios, the Cinema Museum and a summer BBQ.
