A centenarian has celebrated her 102nd birthday surround by family and friends.
Kate Muller, who was born in Berlin on January 15 1916, is now living at Elizabeth Lodge Care Home in Winchmore Hill.
She married a Frenchman and had a daughter, Nadia.
A party with a pianist and party food was organised for everyone to enjoy the celebrations.
Kate played the piano when younger having been given classical training as a child.
She is able to speak English, German and French fluently, often having conversations with head chef Jacques, who comes from France, and enjoys Arts and Crafts.
Samantha Neal, who is customer relations manager at Elizabeth Lodge, said: “Kate has a wicked sense of humour.
“Her 102nd birthday party was a wonderful surprise to her.
“She was pampered by all the staff.
“Her hair, nails and make up were done to perfection and she was dressed beautifully for the special occasion.
“Kate was the star of the show and very happy.”
