DROITWICH residents are being invited to consider plans to change the layout of the town's library.

Worcestershire County Council is planning to re-arrange the facility in Victoria Square to house its Learning Disability Day Services.

The building work will accommodate the extra services, which are being relocated to the library in the Spring.

Plans for the proposed changes will be on display at Droitwich Library from Monday, January 11 to Saturday, January 16.

Cllr Lucy Hodgson, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Localism and Communities, said: "I am immensely proud of Worcestershire's Library Service, and one of the pillars of their quality service is listening to residents' feedback.

"The proposed building work on Droitwich Library is an exciting prospect and one that we are looking forward to sharing with the public."

Plans will be displayed that indicate how the layout of the library might be changed and the public are invited to come along, view the proposals, ask questions and share their views.

On the following three days council staff will also be available to answer questions from residents: Monday, January 11, from 2pm to 4pm, Tuesday, January 12, from 5pm to 6.30pm and Friday, January 15, from 10am to 12pm.
