A man has combined his love of cycling and pubs to complete a marathon challenge for charity.
Richard Reeve, 51, of Enfield, has cycled to 100 ‘micropubs’ during 2015 as part of his New Year’s Resolution.
Mr Reeve used the journey to raise awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society, a condition that his late father suffered from.
He has currently raise £5,500.
The journey has seen Mr Reeve rack up more than 2,200 miles as he visited pubs in Berwick-upon-Tweed and Swansea to drink at all the pubs.
The cycling enthusiast savoured the taste of the pint at his final destination, The Penny Farthing, in Crayford, Kent on November 14.
A micropub is described as a ‘small pub’ which ‘mainly serves cask ales’ according to the micropub association.
Mr Reeve said: “The Micropub Association and so many of the micropubs have been very supportive, along with several microbreweries ; one brewery even created a special once-off beer for my ride.”
