A man has been arrested after attempting to steal a car at knifepoint.
CCTV caught the man attempting to rob the car at the junction of Fore Street and Cowper Road, in Edmonton, at 2am on Wednesday, August 19.
He was then spotted running off after failing to steal the car and was arrested in a nearby car park where police found a craft knife.
Councillor Yasemin Brett, Enfield council's cabinet member for community organisations and culture, said: "Once again our excellent CCTV coverage and well-trained and dedicated operators have shown that when you commit a crime in Enfield you can run but you cannot hide.
"There is no place for people who are intent on committing violent crime in this borough and we are determined to do what we can to ensure we reduce offending in Enfield and keep our residents safe."
