A poster calling on black and ethnic minorities (BME) to vote in next month’s General Election will be appearing in Enfield.
Operation Black Vote (OBV) is a national campaign that uses images of famous black celebrities, such as singer Tinie Tempah, former footballer Sol Campbell and actor David Harewood, and changes their skin colour to white.
The campaign carries the message that if people from ethnic groups do not vote, they are removing the colour from Britain.
The poster featuring former Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal player Sol Campbell will appear in Enfield with the strap-line: "If you don’t vote, you’re taking the colour out of Enfield."
Simon Woolley, the director of OBV, said: "The goal is clear: to encourage black and minority ethnic communities to register to vote and vote in the 2015 General Election in the largest numbers ever.
"For example, in Enfield North, the BME electorate, 24,508, is larger than the majority in which the seat was won 1,692.
"The BME electorate could influence an even greater number of seats if, as predicted, the election contest becomes ever tighter."
