During the MP’s expenses scandal, Joan Ryan, Labour candidate for Enfield North, was made to pay back almost £5,000 of taxpayers’ money, which the authorities believed were not appropriate expenses claims. These expenses were claimed by her when she was MP for Enfield North prior to the last General Election.
In light of this, I’m very surprised that the Labour Party think she is a suitable candidate to be our MP again, and that she thinks it is appropriate for her to stand.
I am a Labour voter but I won’t be voting for Joan Ryan. I shall abstain.
