A new operation has been launched to reduce the number of violent crimes in the area.
Enfield Police has launched Operation Equinox, in which boroughs across London will join forces until next year to crack down on violence.
In Enfield there were 1,293 cases of 'violence with injury' - grievous bodily harm and assault with injury - over the past twelve months.
London-wide, there were 65,770 cases of the crimes.
Operations will include the deployment or a dedicated team of two sergeants and 12 constables every day to target areas affected by violent crime and catch violent criminals.
Officers will also be working and enforcing the dispersal zone in Fore Street and Enfield Town as well as the no-drinking zones.
Commander Lucy D'Orsi, MPS lead for the operation, said: "Operation Equinox will continue to support victims of violent crime and will take firm approach with those intent on committing violence.
“Officers are already planning activity to focus police activity on areas which have a disproportionately high amount of violent crime. This includes focusing of specific licensed premises and fast food outlets."
