On a recent visit to the urgent care centre at Chase Farm Hospital, now acquired by the Royal Free NHS Trust, there was a gentleman brought in by a member of the public, who had mental health issues and was a former alcoholic.
The person who brought the man in had to fight his corner to get him treated as according to the urgent care team they do not have the facilities to treat him and they called security. They were both still there when I left at 9.20pm.
Is it not about time that the Royal Free used the hospital to benefit the local taxpayers and to take pressure off the North Middlesex Hospital?
