A woman took the plunge as she dropped from 13,000ft in the name of charity.
Lisa MacKissack, of Enfield, plummeted towards the ground at speeds of 120mph in a sky dive challenge for Just a Drop water charity.
Ms MacKissack, is part of Cambridge Weight Plan group who are hoping to raise £50,000 in 2014 for the charity’s project in Makueni County, in Kenya.
She said: “I’ve always wanted to jump out of a plane and when I found out that Cambridge Weight Plan were supporting Just a Drop, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do my own ‘drop’ and raise some funds at the same time.
“I’m so close to my target of raising £1,000 and all donations will make a big difference – not to mention, the fear factor – worthwhile.”
Kelly Railton, head of fundraising and communications at Just a Drop added: “We are delighted to have been chosen as Cambridge Weight Plan’s charity partner.
“Lisa is such an inspiration for taking on such a daring challenge and the money she raises will help Just a Drop make a significant difference to the lives of the people in Makueni County. We can’t thank her enough for her contribution to this.”
