Making Enfield a Fairtrade borough is high on the agenda for its new leaders.
Enfield Borough Council's new cabinet is set to re-register to be a Fairtrade borough when it meets for the first time tonight.
The authority first applied in 2007 but participation dropped during the following years.
The council did not reapply for re-accreditation in 2012 but the Fairtrade Foundation has given it a period of grace to lodge a new application.
A report to cabinet says reapplying will come at little direct cost but the council must agree to provide Fairtrade teas and coffee in the future.
The authority must also set up a Fairtrade Flagship employer to promote fair-trade and has agreed that Christian Action Housing will take on that mantle.
New cabinet members Rohini Simbodyal, ward councillor for Jubilee and Bowes Councillors Yasemin Brett, and Alan Sitkin will sit for the first time tonight.
The meeting will also discuss the next steps in the billion pound Meridian Water project.
