Despite suffering the worst election result in the history of the borough, Conservative leader Councillor Michael Lavender has delivered on one of his manifesto commitments: the reduction of councillors.
Reduction of Tory councillors, that is.
This is what he wanted and on Thursday, May 22, 2014, the people of Enfield helped him achieve it.
On behalf of the Labour Party in Enfield, I would like to thank the tens of thousands of people who voted for us and entrusted us to run the borough for the next four years. We will continue our commitment to provide high quality services and a better way of life for all our residents, despite the financial squeeze from the Con-Lib Government. Thank you.
Cllr George Savva MBE
Lab/Haselbury ward, Enfield Borough Council
