A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a bus outside a train station.
The 55-year-old man was knocked down by the bus on Saturday evening outside Cockfosters Tube station in Cockfosters Road, Enfield.
The driver did not stop at the scene and was apparently unaware of the collision.
The man remained injured for nearly two hours before emergency services were called to the scene and he was then taken to a London hospital.
Several people had approached the man, who was unconscious, but were unaware of the severity of his injuries. One man helped the 55-year-old on the kerbside before emergency services arrived.
He remains in a critical condition.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. No arrests have been made.
