The Bishop of London made a special visit to a an Enfield church to celebrate its seventh anniversary.
The Right Reverend Richard Chartres joined 170 members of Grace Church Highlands, World's End Lane in Enfield, as the church commemorated seven years since it opened.
The church was opened to serve the community of Highlands Village and was started by 34 people. The Sunday congregation now has more than 120 regularly.
The church was, until last summer, legally part of Christ Church in Cockfosters, but is now entirely independent.
The Reverend Andy Wadsworth, minister-in-charge at Grace Church Highlands, said: “It is a thrilling time in the life of the church family as we look back with thanks to God’s faithfulness and forward in hope and expectation as we seek to make Jesus Christ known and serve the local community.”
