Join two self-proclaimed ‘good-old boys‘ as they set-off for one of the last great frontiers of the modern world – Alaska – a land where steam freezes, fish have mastered cryogenics and the Yukon river can make you disappear.

It may be picturesque but surviving here is no picnic. Faced with plummeting temperatures, technical disaster and virtually no practical skill, this performance piece from Black Fish Theatre Company takes audiences on a journey that begins carefree and fast becomes a nightmarish plunge into extreme survival, overshadowed by all things dead, alive and Athabascan.

Bear Grylls, Ray Mears, Angels, Myrtle Hoover his wife and children, a whole host of forest wildlife, film, firelight, shadows and one hell of a soundtrack, all appear in this riot of tragic-comedy and Pythonesque dottiness.

A madcap odyssey of epic proportion that will challenge your view of modern living and might just tempt you to go completely wild.

Alaska is at Jacksons Lane, Archway Road, on February 26 and 27 from 8pm. Details: 020 8341 4421
