Pensioners enjoyed tea and cake yesterday while doing their bit for charity.
Members of charity Age UK gathered at their headquarters in Nags Head Road in Southbury to raise money for the charity’s Spread the Warmth campaign.
The event, called Bobble Day, took place in locations throughout the country to raise cash for the campaign.
The project also encourages people to donate clothes, heaters and electric blankets to keep elderly people warm during the winter.
