The festival organisers are promising it will be bigger and better this year, with more food and drink stalls.

The line-up for The Great British Food Festival, taking place at Knebworth House over the weekend of the July 21 and 22, includes over eighty ‘Best of British’ producers and street food vendors, free celebrity chef demonstrations, artisan producer talks, foraging walks, kids’ cookery lessons, live music, a ‘Cake Off’ competition and food challenges.

Dan Maycock, festival director, says: “We’re thrilled to be back at Knebworth, it’s always a lovely event, with a great crowd and we are really keen to push things on for 2018, hence we have more activities going on and a great line-up of chefs.”

Sandy Docherty and Howard Middleton will be two of the chefs demoing and will also be judging the Cake Off, where amateur bakers compete head-to-head in two baking categories (see greatbritishfoodfestival.com for details and to enter).

Sandy says: “I love doing the demos and the cake off is great fun, it’s brilliant to see what the public can do!”
