           <link>http://www.enfieldindependent.co.uk/yoursay/yourviews/yourviews/4273386.Use_of_bendy_buses_in_Enfield/?ref=rss</link>
           <description> I use the route W6 on my way to school every day and the overcrowding during morning and evening rush-hour is terrible. I have been late because of the bus driving straight past me and I have seen
  others in the same position as well.

           <title>Home truths for Enfield MPs</title>
           <link>http://www.enfieldindependent.co.uk/yoursay/yourviews/yourviews/4273384.Home_truths_for_Enfield_MPs/?ref=rss</link>
           <description> In light of recent revelations that two of the three MPs based in Enfield claim for a second home despite living in commutable distance of central London and Westminster, I would suggest there is a
  relatively simple solution to the issue of the apparent misuse of the second homes allowance for MPs.

           <title>Freedom of information</title>
           <link>http://www.enfieldindependent.co.uk/yoursay/yourviews/yourviews/4273368.Freedom_of_information/?ref=rss</link>
           <description> In your front-page story &#40;‘MPs claim £20k for second homes’, my MP Joan Ryan supported the openness of publishing expenses by informing us this was due to the Freedom of Information Act brought in
  by a Labour Government. In 2007, with some other MPs including a Tory backbencher, Ms Ryan backed a Bill to exempt MPs from this Act in order to protect the confidentiality of those in her
  constituency, &#40;though in a letter to me she promised her expenses would still be published). When I requested under the FOI Act a breakdown of those expenses, I was directed to the Government page
  offering all MPs’ totalled yearly costing. This exemption would have made information-gathering a major obstruction when locating abusers of expenses or other work-related matters by those we
  directly compensate.

           <link>http://www.enfieldindependent.co.uk/yoursay/yourviews/yourviews/4273353.Enfield_Council_s_road_safety_obligation/?ref=rss</link>
           <description>
  Reading that Enfield Council had been given a reward to do with road safety was both a shock and a joke for residents living near the new Forest Road health centre.

  THE Post Office was a popular, effective and profitable state monopoly in this country until the EU passed directives in the 1990s to open it to competition.
