Tottenham Hotspur’s Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters played the full 90 minutes for England Under-20s, who won the World Cup against Venezuela on Sunday.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert Lewin scored the all-important goal in the first-half to secure England’s first international title since 1966.

Walker-Peters conceded a penalty when he fouled Adalberto Penaranda, but the Venezuelan’s resultant spot-kick was saved by England stopper Freddie Woodman.

Midfielder Onomah came close to increasing the advantage for England during the second half, but his powerful strike hit the crossbar.

Both Walker-Peters and Onomah have been regulars in the starting line-up during the tournament, with the latter making 12 appearances in all competitions for Spurs last season.

Walker-Peters is still waiting to make his debut for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, but has been capped up to Under-20 level by England.
