A late goal gifted Panathinaikos a point as the Greek side held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw in the Europa League.
Spurs dominated the first half and should really have had the game sewn up at the interval.
As it was only a Michael Dawson goal separated the sides at half time after the out of favour centre half, who was captain on the night, headed in Tom Huddlestone's cross.
Clint Dempsey, Jermain Defoe and Huddlestone all had opportunities to put their opponents out of sight but as the second half went on Tottenham grew more and more sloppy in the Greek humidity.
Panathinaikos made them pay with 13 minutes to go when Giourkas Seitaridis played an incisive through-ball into the path of Toche who having out-paced Dawson slipped it past Hugo Lloris to grab a late point.
The draw leaves Spurs with two points from two games in Group J with four matches left to play.
