Michael Dawson set to seal switch to QPR

Dawson on his way Dawson on his way

Tottenham have reportedly sold defender Michael Dawson to London rivals Queens Park Rangers for a fee in the region of £7.5 million.

QPR manager Mark Hughes has been quick to add to his shaky defence after they conceded five goals to Swansea at home.

Subject to agreeing personal terms and passing a medical, Dawson, 28, is expected to join the Superhoops in time for the club's next fixture against Norwich.

If Dawson does make his debut on Saturday he could line up against former Spurs team-mate Sebastien Bassong who left to join the Canaries yesterday.

Also possibly joining Dawson at Loftus Road is ex-Chelsea star Ricardo Carvalho on-loan from Real Madrid.

Elsewhere, Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone is expected to complete his loan move to Stoke today.
