Tottenham look at another Manchester City striker after deal for Adebayor reportedly broke down

Spurs could turn to Dzeko Spurs could turn to Dzeko

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Edin Dzeko after a deal for his Manchester City team-mate, Emmanuel Adebayor, stalled, according to the Daily Mirror.

Adebayor was brilliant whilst on loan at White Hart Lane last season scoring 18 goals in a season when the club finished fourth.

However, Spurs are refusing to meet the Togo internationals high wage demands and could therefore turn to Dzeko.

Despite having a slow start at Manchester City, Dzeko proved to be worth his transfer from Wolfsburg and even scored the equalising goal against QPR on the last day of the season as City came back from 1-0 down to win the league.

Dzeko could be open to a move down south as he is likely to be down the pecking order under Roberto Mancini with Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli all ahead of him.
