Emmanuel Adebayor is reportedly in line for a return to White Hart Lane.
The Togolese forward netted 17 goals for Spurs during a loan stay with the club last season and could now make the switch permanent.
Parent club Manchester City are thought to be keen to offload Adebayor in order to pave the way for a move for Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie.
Adebayor has one year remaining on his contract with the champions.
