Tottenham Hotspur's Rafael van der Vaart comes off bench as Netherlands lose to Denmark in Euro 2012

Rafael van der Vaart was unable to stop the Netherlands being on the receiving end of the first big surprise of Euro 2012 as they were beaten 1-0 by Denmark.
The Spurs player had to settle for a place on the bench but was introduced midway through the second period in his side's Group B opener.
Despite having numerous opportunities, the Dutch were unable to respond to Michael Krohn-Delhi's decisive 24th-minute strike.
