Tottenham have confirmed their Premier League fixture with Stoke City will go ahead on Wednesday night.
The north London club’s FA Cup clash with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday had to be abandoned after Trotters midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch.
Bolton’s Premier League meeting with Aston Villa tomorrow has since been postponed, but Spurs’ game with Stoke will go ahead.
Manager Harry Redknapp told the club’s website: “What happened on Saturday to Fabrice Muamba was a shock to everyone.
“It is possible that the effects of this could hit some quicker than others and despite these difficult circumstances we all have to pull together and carry on with our season.
“We will be providing players with whatever support they need in order to help them move on from what has happened, while obviously always keeping Fabrice at the forefront of our minds and willing him to make a recovery.”
