Eidur Gudjohnsen said he is just happy to be back in England, after he signed on loan for Spurs.
But he obviously knows what side of London he likes best, snubbing West Ham Utd in the east end for Harry Redknapp’s regime in the northern part of the capital city.
His last-minute change of heart came after he had taken a medical at the Upton Park club, and his actions left joint chairman David Sullivan muttering dark things about ‘karma’.
But Gudjohnsen was serene.
“It's great to be back in England, just to be back in the dressing room, the atmosphere, the sense of humour, it's good.
"The team should be looking at this fourth place and really going for it.”
Gudjohnsen’s first game as Spurs player was a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City, yesterday. He was not in the squad.
