Spurs have been handed a tough test in the last 16 of the Europa League after being drawn against Borussia Dortmund.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men secured their passage through the round of 32 after last night’s 3-0 win at White Hart Lane secured a 4-1 aggregate victory over Fiorentina.
Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga, eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich, and they were also victorious last night, winning 1-0 at Porto to qualify 3-0 on aggregate.
Thomas Tuchel’s side, who have lost only one of their last 11 games in all competitions boast a number of leading names in European football, including Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and top-rated striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has scored 28 goals in 30 matches this season.
The first leg will be played at the famous Westfalenstadion on Thursday, March 10, with the return at White Hart Lane a week later.
The full draw is:
Shakhtar Donetsk v Anderlecht
Basel v Sevilla
