Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to send Andros Townsend out on loan in order to secure first team football.
Townsend has only started matches in the Europa League and Capital One Cup this season and is fearful that a lack of Premier League football could hurt his chances of maintaining a place in Roy Hodgson’s England squad.
According to the Sun, Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to let the winger leave on loan in January but wants to bring in a replacement.
One player who has been touted as a possible arrival is previously-linked Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie, who is believed to be valued at £15 million by the south London club.
Tottenham were interested in the Congolese winger in the summer but a deal never materialised as Bolasie signed a new contract at Selhurst Park.
But with Townsend looking likely to leave Spurs may be more pushed to bring in reinforcements and Bolasie certainly fits the bill for Pochettino.
