Sunderland are reportedly keen to snatch midfielder Mousa Dembele from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur after already capturing Younes Kaboul.
The Belgium international was a regular for Mauricio Pochettino’s men last season, making 40 appearances, scoring once.
Spurs are not actively seeking to sell the midfielder, Sunderland could submit a bid to test their resolve.
The Black Cats have already purchased defender Kaboul from Spurs last week and could return with a bid for his former teammate, as they look to strengthen ahead of the new Premier League season.
