Chelsea's Mohamed Salah is reportedly wanted by Tottenham Hotspur after a successful spell on loan in Italy last season.

The winger starred while on loan at Serie A club Fiorentina and is now a target for the White Hart Lane side, according to the Evening Standard.

Salah scored nine times in 26 games after joining in January and in the process helped his side finish fourth and reach two semi-finals, one being the Europa League.

The Egyptian has impressed Spurs twice in the last three years by knocking their side out the competition. Last season, he scored in the second leg to give Fiorentina a 3-1 aggregate win over Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the last 32.

And back in 2012/13, Salah notched, again in the second leg, as Swiss side Basel beat Spurs on penalties to progress to the semi-finals where they lost to eventual winners Chelsea.

Chelsea are thought to be reluctant to sell the 23-year-old to a Premier League rival but are keen to offload the Egypt international after he made just 19 appearances for the Blues over the last two seasons.
