Tottenham Hotspur have made FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer their first summer addition, the defender signing a five-year deal at White Hart Lane.
Wimmer, 22, joins Mauricio Pochettino's side after establishing himself as a regular in the Koln side following their return to the Bundesliga.
A full Austrian international, Wimmer began his professional career with LASK Linz Juniors in his homeland and advanced into the club's first team before moving to Koln in 2012.
The 6ft 2in centre-back soon progressed into the senior side at Koln and went on to make 70 Bundesliga and Bundesliga II appearances for the German side in three years.
Wimmer won his first and to date only Austrian cap against Bosnia and Herzegovina in March and has previously represented his country at Under-18 and Under-21 level.
He helped Koln win the Bundesliga II title in 2013/14 and was a mainstay at the heart of The Billy Goats' defence.
