Bayer Leverkusen are lining up Tottenham Hotspur outcast Roberto Soldado as a potential replacement for wantaway striker Josip Drmic, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Soldado, who became Spurs' club-record signing when he joined from Valencia in 2013, has fallen well short of expectations at White Hart Lane, scoring seven league goals for the club since his £26 million switch.
Leverkusen striker Drmic is expected to leave the Bundesliga club during the January transfer window and Bayer are understood to have lined up Soldado as a potential replacement for 22-year-old Swiss.
Soldado, 29, has been linked heavily with a move away from White Hart Lane since before the transfer window opened.
The Spaniard has scored four times in 25 outings in all competitions this season.
