Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kenny McEvoy netted his first goal for Peterborough United in their 3-2 home win over Milton Keynes Dons at London Road on Saturday.

The 19-year-old winger, on a season-long loan deal from Spurs, fired in his first senior goal from 25-yards to hand the Posh the lead on the stroke of half time.

However the Irishman was replaced at half-time by Kane Ferdinand.

In the Championship, Alex Pritchard featured from the start for Brentford during their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth at the Goldsands Stadium.

The 21-year-old was unlucky not to open his account for the Bees, sending a free-kick wide with his best chance and Mark Warburton’s side remain winless in their first two Championship games.

Centre-back Grant Hall played the full 90 minutes for Birmingham City at the weekend in their 1-0 home win against Brighton & Hove Albion – their first at St Andrew’s since last October.

Wes Thomas’ strike four minutes into the second half gave the Blues their first win of the new Championship season, condemning Brighton to their second successive defeat under new boss Sami Hyypia.

Elsewhere, in League Two, Shaquille Coulthirst played 81 minutes for Southend United in their 2-0 home win over Stevenage at Roots Hall.

Two goals in eleven first half minutes from Myles Weston and Ben Coker gave the Shrimpers the three points.
